Jeffrey B. McGuire
Jeffrey B. McGuire is an associate attorney with Hancock Law Firm, PLLC, and the newest addition to the firm.
Jeffrey brings with him his wealth of experience in the areas of domestic relations, criminal defense, and civil litigation. Jeffrey has practiced in over 30 counties in Mississippi and over 60 courtrooms, all over the tri-county area and from the Coast to North Mississippi. Jeffrey counts among his achievements numerous six-figure settlements in civil matters, as well as having successfully litigated one of the first same-sex adoptions in the State of Mississippi.
Jeffrey is a native of Gulfport, Mississippi. Jeffrey received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, where he studied Marketing Communications and Journalism, with a minor in Management. After graduation, Jeffrey was briefly involved in the restaurant industry, and began law school at Mississippi College School of Law shortly after that.
Prior to earning his juris doctorate degree, Jeffrey spent time as a law clerk at the Harrison County Circuit Court, as well as the Mississippi Court of Appeals, and was also sworn in for limited practice with the District Attorney for the 19th Judicial District of Mississippi. Jeffrey also previously spent time as a public relations intern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.
Jeffrey resides in the Gluckstadt community of Madison County with his wife and son, and is a member of Parkway Hills United Methodist Church.
